A new book edited by Katharine Simms of Trinity College Dublin and entitled Gaelic Ireland (c.600-c.1700): politics, culture and landscapes. Studies for the ‘Irish Chiefs’ Prize has just been published. I have two essays included in the collection. One is on the origin of the name ‘Dunlavin’ and the other is on the changing political situation in the Dunlavin region and west Wicklow c.1200-1600.
